Anna Marie Vondenhuevel, 70, 3542 Millcreek Rd., Sidney, Ohio died at her residence on Thursday, September 25, 2003 at 1:20 PM after a short illness. She was born January 20, 1933 in McCartyville, Ohio the daughter of James and Marie (Surman) Varno. She was married on July 26, 1951 to Richard F. Vondenhuevel and he survives along with three children, Richard Jr. and his wife Sandra of Houston, Ohio; Cheryl Spangler of Sidney, Ohio and Gary and his wife Kim of Sidney, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Josh Vondenhuevel, Jayme Vondenhuevel, Matthew Spangler, Colin Spangler, Amber Spangler, Trent Spangler, Frances Spangler and Kacie Vondenhuevel and two great-grandchildren, Jayde Spangler and Wyatt Spangler. One sister, Norma Hale and husband Wig of Piqua, Ohio also survive. Two brothers are deceased, Ralph Varno and Patrick Varno. She was a 1951 graduate of Holy Angels School. She enjoyed camping and the grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and retired from Stolle Corp. in Sidney in 1993 as an assembler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 29, 2003 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Gerald Bensman at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Sunday, September 28, 2003 from 1-5 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice, 915 W. Michigan Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
