Barbara J. Bray

Barbara J. Bray, 53, 1308 Hancock St., Sidney, Ohio, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 3:27 AM in Sidney after an extended illness. She was born May 25, 1958 in Sidney, Ohio the daughter of Robert Harold Fogt and Dorothy Mae (Kessler) Fogt. The father died in 1991 and the mother survives in Sidney. Also surviving is a significant other, Steven D. Simons of Sidney; a step-daughter, Rachel Martin and fianc(c) Harold Hamblin of Sidney; son Kyle R. Bray and fianc(c), Tonia S. Justice of Urbana; step-son, Eric Simons and wife Susan of Sidney; one daughter, Myra Anna Lewis died in 1984. Also surviving is a sister, June Hageman and husband Humayuny Sindhi of Sidney and one brother, John E. Fogt and wife Patricia of Sidney; one step-grandchild, Bailey Hamblin of Sidney and several nephews and great nephews. She was a 1977 graduate of Sidney High School and attended the JVS school in Piqua for early childhood development. She also pursued the state board in real estate from Hondros College. She had worked at the preschool, Humpty Dumpty in Sidney as a director at one time and also in the bakery department at Gilardis; and worked at Holloway Sportwear in Sidney as an inspector. She also worked as a Pinkerton security guard at Cargills. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking and loved being a homemaker. She was baptized at the First Church of Christ in Sidney. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney with Rev. Willard Cole. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home from 9:00 until the hour of service on the day of the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home at 502 S. Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365 to help pay for funeral expenses. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
