Billy Gene Bechler Sr.

Billy Gene Bechler Sr., passed away on January 12, 2020, at his residence. Billy was born on January 24, 1936, in Millers Creek, Kentucky, the son of Earl and Rosella (Howell) Bechler. Both parents preceded him in death. In December of 1969, he married Barbara Carole Gardiner, who also preceded him in death.

Billy was a retired electrician, and he enjoyed woodworking and taking care of his farm. He is survived by his children: Billy Gene (Esther) Bechler Jr., Barry (Sonya) Bechler, Rusty Bechler, Kelly (Kelley) Bechler, and Tracy David. A step-son Craig (Lynn) Gardiner, also survives. He had two brothers: Bobby Bechler, of Kentucky, Roger Bechler of North Carolina, and a sister, Edna Bechler of Centerville. A sister, Marietta Bechler-Jenson, is deceased. He had 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He raised a good family and was a good husband, father, and grand and great-grandfather. The Lord certainly blessed him in life, and he is in heaven today with those who have gone before him.

Billy was cremated, and at a time and place convenient for his family, they will have a celebration of Billys life for friends and family to gather and remember him.
