Catherine Lynn Marsh

Catherine Lynn Marsh, Katie to family and Cathy to others, passed from this life to her next. She did not go alone, a host of family and friends are carried with her in spirit. She was born February 11, 1960 to Lewis and Charlene Haas. On September 16, 1989 she married John R. Marsh who survives. Katie fought as hard as she could, but her cancer was rare, incurable and aggressive. Her struggle lasted less than three weeks. Her final days were in peace with family and friends by her side. She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Haas and her brother, Marty Haas. She is survived by her father, Lewis Gene Haas and her sister, Jane Ann Hymes. Sons, Parker (daughter-in-law, Mildred) Marsh and Jube Marsh, grandsons Jacob and Jarrod survive along with several nieces and nephews. Katie worked a total of 42 years for Sidney Kroger. Most of those years were spent as the Floral Manager. She was also known as an award winning gourd artist, Daisy the Clown, animal lover and a gardener extraordinaire. She cherished camping and fishing with her husband and family. Her winning smile, laughter and love of people will be missed by all who knew her and remembered by all. Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements and a memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 2-4 PM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home.
