Charlie (Chuck) Hale, 69, 3300 Loramie-Washington Rd., Houston, Ohio died the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 9:50 PM after a brief illness. He was born July 22, 1940 in Dwale, Kentucky the son of William and Alice (Hall) Hale and they are deceased. Surviving is his wife, Nancy (Lawson) Taylor Hale; two children, Charlotte Huelsman and husband Ed of Fort Loramie, Ohio and Christine Hale Didier of Houston, Ohio and three step-children, Curtis Taylor, Charles Taylor and Melissa Taylor; also surviving are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Loraine (Cory) Epperson of Sidney, Ohio and Rebie Prater of Fort Wayne, Indiana and one brother, William Hale of Piqua, Ohio. Four sisters, Josie Hale, Ocie Webb, Virginia Bolin and Ruth Hackworth are deceased and three brothers are deceased, Cletus, Eugene and Russell Hale. Mr. Hale had been employed in the maintainence department at the former Miami Industries in Piqua, Ohio. He was a member of the Piqua Eagles and the Piqua Fish and Game. He hobbies were landscaping and gardening. He was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney at 6:00 PM with Pastor Curtis Taylor. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-6 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Miami County Hospice, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
