Charlotte Ann Alexander

Charlotte Ann Alexander, 82, Sidney, Ohio, died at Covington Care Center, Covington, Ohio on Monday, September 7, 2009 at 2:15 PM of an extended illness. She was born January 27, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Anton and Hazel (Enyart) Riefstahl and they are deceased. She was married December 7, 1946 to Richard William Martz and he died in 1986. She was married June 16, 2001 to Virgil Alexander and he died in 2008. Surviving are two sons, William N. Martz of Farmington Hills, Michigan and Steven Martz and wife Betsy of Pleasant Hill, Ohio and one daughter, Kelly McMillan of Red Springs, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Adrienne Martz, Cathryn Martz and Meredith Martz and two step granddaughters, Angel (Kasey) Sims and Catrina (Joe) Martin and three step great grandsons and three step great granddaughters. One son, Andrew Joseph Martz and one step grandson are deceased. Also surviving is one sister, Allegra Brown Duff and husband Cecil of Hamilton, Ohio. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She had been a certified swimming instructor for many years and also worked for several doctors in Sidney as a nurse. A Mass of Christian Burail will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Jason Bedel. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Thursday, from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 324 S. Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
