Chester Jack Bryant, 82, Sidney Care Center, 510 Buckeye St., Sidney, Ohio died at the nursing home on Sunday, March 20, 2005 at 7:00 PM. He was born May 15, 1922 in Dillon, South Carolina the son of John R. and Alvia (Newton) Bryant. He moved to Shelby County in 1950 from Orlando, Florida. He was married in 1946 to Beulah Lucille Perkeypile and she died April 27, 2001. Surviving are one son, Gary Bryant and wife Tangela of Sidney, Ohio; two daughters, Sharon Ross and husband Mark of Sidney, Ohio and Brenda Watkins and husband Bruce of Sidney, Ohio and one step-daughter, Beverly Isaccs and husband Jerry of South Vienna, Ohio; two brothers, Raymond and his wife Ann of Centerville, Massachusetts, Oscar of Orlando, Florida; Shirley Galaroette of Orlando, Florida, Christine Hansley of Orlando, Florida and Mary Broderick of New York. One, sister, Lula Mae Bryant is deceased. He was a United States Army veteran from World War II. He was in the Copeland Union 725 and was the past vice-president. He was also in the Sidney American Legion, VFW and Amvets. He had worked at the Copeland Corp. in Sidney as an assembler and stockman and retired in 1996. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Robert Fries. Burial will be at Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff, Ohio with full military honors. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Friday, March 25, 2005 from 6-8 PM.
