Dale Lee Wasson

Dale Lee Wasson, 75, 110 Allison Ct., Englewood, Ohio, formerly of Sidney, Ohio, passed away at the Maria Joseph Center in Trotwood, Ohio on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 1:10 PM. He was born January 1, 1938 in Urbana, Ohio the son of Rev. John and Ruby (Blanton) Wasson and they are deceased. He was married on June 27, 1958 to Jo Ann Anderson and she survives in Englewood, Ohio along with a daughter, Sandy Wasson-Meyer of Englewood, Ohio and former spouse, Paul Meyer of Sidney. Also a son survives, Gary Dale Wasson and wife Tammy Lieber of Indianapolis, Indiana and a sister, Diane Helman and husband Bruce of Hardin, Ohio and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Marvin Halterman of Marysville, Tennessee. A sister, Charlotte Halterman is deceased. Mr. Wasson was a 1955 graduate of Sidney High School and attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He was retired from Monarch Machine Tool Company in Sidney where he was employed as a government sales manager. He enjoyed hiking, liked gospel music, enjoyed motorsport activity and car shows. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sidney. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Sidney on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Eileen Hix. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 6-8 PM.
