Dean Miller

Dean D. Miller, 84, 1441 River Rd., Sidney, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 10:50 AM at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. He was born September 23, 1931 in Gettysburg, Ohio the son of Dale and Letha (Wyan) Miller and they are deceased. In 1981, he married Nell Wolfe and she survives in Sidney along with seven children, Sharon Strayer and husband John of Sidney, Ohio, Deborah Tennery of Troy, Ohio, Diane Leander and husband Alan of Coxs Mill, West Virginia, Kathy Hamblin of Sidney, Ohio, Terry Miller and wife Linda of Brandenton, Florida, Randy Miller and wife Jennifer of Dahlonega, Georgia and David Tennery and wife Sara of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Erlene Hocker and husband Ed of Greenville, Ohio and one brother, Steve Miller and wife Juanita of Coshocton, Ohio and seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased. He owned the Gateway Supply Company in Sidney, Ohio for many years and also owned the C and M Tackle Shop in Sidney. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Shelby County Bass Masters Club. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 2-4 PM. Private funeral services for the family will follow the visitation at 4:00 PM. Cremation services will then take place and burial will be at a later date. Dean had many friends throughout his life and touched many people including friends, family and clients. Dean was well known and will be remembered as truly kind, sincere, and generous of heart.
