Denise K. Richmond

Denise K. Richmond, 51, passed away, Nov. 23, 2017, at her residence.

She was born, Aug. 4, 1966, in Sidney to Richard Partington and Carol L (Thompson) Partington. Her father preceded her in death, and her mother survives in Sidney. She was married to William Ciriegio, who passed away in September 2000. She then married Mike Richmond, April 11, 2015, and he survives in Sidney.

Denise graduated from Fairlawn High School in 1984 and was employed at Norcold in Sidney as a material handler. She was a very kind and considerate woman who loved her family deeply.

Denise is survived by a son, Eric Simons, of Dayton; and a daughter, Rachel (Harold) Hamblin, of Sidney. Her grandchildren are Bailey Hamblin and Noah Hamblin, of Sidney, and Alex Richmond, of Quincy. Stepchildren are Laura Wick, Brian Richmond, of Quincy, Jessica Drees, of Sidney. Brothers are Kevin (Cathy) Partington, of Fullerton, California, and Matt Partington, of Sidney. She also has a sister, Karin L. Compton, of Sidney. Her three best friends and helpful caregivers, Paula Cotterman, Julie Risenburg, Missy Lang, were all there from kindergarten to her passing.

Friends may call at Salm McGill and Tangeman Funeral home, 502 S. Ohio, Sidney Ohio, Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor John Richmond officiating. Interment will follow services at Cedar Point Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society or the Lymphoma Society in Denise's memory.
