Elgar M. 'Sonny' Griffieth, 71, 518 Garnsey St., Piqua, Ohio formerly of Anna, Ohio died on Monday, June 25, 2012 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio at 12:35 AM after an extended illness. He was born June 18, 1941 in Troy, Ohio the son of Harry C. and Norma E. (Schmidt) Griffieth and they are deceased. His spouse, Judy Russell, is deceased. Surviving are three daughters, Tammy Kiser and husband Ronald of Piqua, Ohio; Loraine Griffieth of Piqua, Ohio and Angel Taylor and husband Bill of Piqua, Ohio; two sons, Elgar M. Griffieth Jr. of Troy, Ohio and Charles Griffieth and wife Lori of Indiana; and one sister, Norma Jean Davis of Piqua, Ohio and fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One daughter, Ruthanne Griffieth, one sister, Loretta Ganger and one brother, Harry E. Griffieth are deceased. He had worked at Copeland Corporation in Sidney as a utility operator. Burial will be at Pearl Cemetery, Swanders, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
