Esther Frances Linthicum-Steinlage

Esther Frances Linthicum-Steinlage, 95, Dorothy Love Retirement Community, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., Sidney, Ohio passed away at the retirement community on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 6:57 PM. She was born July 27, 1918 in Fort Loramie, Ohio the daughter of George and Catherine (Schulze) Bergman and they preceded her in death. She was married on May 27, 1939 to Ralph Linthicum and he passed away May 15, 1969. She was married on October 7, 1973 to Albert Steinlage and he also preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Judith Ann Kemper and husband Robert of Minster, Ohio and Kathleen Linthicum of Sidney and one son, James Linthicum and wife Kimberly of Piqua, Ohio. Also surviving are six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. One sister, four brothers and one grandson are deceased. She had been employed by Sidney City Schools as a cook at Longfellow Elementary School and Sidney High School for many years. She had also been employed as a seamstress at Holloways in Jackson Center, Atlas Underwear Company in Piqua, Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney and a cook at Monarch Machine Company in Sidney at one time. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Wilson Memorial Hospital volunteer, and the Shelby County Senior Citizens. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel Hess. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 3003 W.
