Evelyn C. Freisthler

Evelyn C. Freisthler, 77, 380 Ironwood Dr., Sidney, Ohio died at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 30, 2004 at 9:08 PM. She was born August 3, 1927 in Coldwater, Ohio the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Bertke) Wermert and they are deceased. She married Homer J. Freisthler on April 22, 1950 and he died February 21, 1996. Surviving are one son, Michael and his wife Janet of Sidney; one daughter, Joanne Finley and husband Charles of Sidney; two grandchildren, Scott Finley of Springfield, Ohio and Keith Freisthler of Sidney, Ohio; and three brothers, Carl Wermert and wife Rosie of Sidney; Virgil and wife Vi of Coldwater, Ohio; and Herbert and wife Carol of Coldwater, Ohio and one sister, Jeanette Doorley and husband Jerry of Columbus, Ohio; one sister is deceased, Erma Barlage and one son is deceased, Richard Freisthler. She was a member of the Sidney Elks and the Sidney American Legion and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 3, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Gerald Bensman. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Thursday, September 2, 2004 from 4-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 324 S. Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
