Frederick J. (Fritz) Steinke, 94, Sterling House, Troy, Ohio and formerly of Sidney, Ohio died at the Sterling House on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 5:30 PM. He was born November 13, 1915 in Fryburg, Ohio the son of Ollie and Annie (Gerstner) Steinke and they are deceased. He was married to Helen Doak and she died in 1975 and later he married Clara Clark and she survives at Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney. Also surviving is one son, Frederick Joe; two grandchildren, Patrick Steinke and Elaine Coleman and one great grandson, Taylor Coleman. Four sisters and one brother are deceased. Mr. Steinke had been on the Fairlawn School Board at one time. He was a member of the Saddle Club, a horseback riding club. He was a devout Catholic and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He had owned Sidney-Shelby County Realty at one time and farmed for many years. He loved to travel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM.
