Hilda Ann Steinke

Hilda Ann Steinke, 87, formerly of Taft St., Sidney, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 8:00 AM at Heritage manor Nursing Center in Minster, Ohio where she resided for five years. She was born June 26, 1922 in St. Sebastian, Ohio the daughter of John and Cecelia (Holdheide) Broering and they are deceased. On October 8, 1943 she married Charels (Budd) Steinke and he preceded her in death on October 24, 1988. She is survived by one brother, Leander Broering of San Rafeal, California; three sisters, Dorothy Boeckman and Rita (Norb) Hoehne of Fort Loramie, Ohio and Micky Mescher of Tipp City, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ambrose and Linus Broering and two sisters, Marie Seger and Mildred Artcamp, three infant brothers, three sister-in-laws and four brother-in-laws. Hilda enjoyed her poodle dogs and formally worked at L and K Restaurant in Sidney, Ohio. She was a caregiver and homemaker. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dan Schmitmeyr. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardnes, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-Mcgill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on the day of the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Church or the activity fund at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster, Ohio. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
