Jacinto G. Loucao

Jacinto G. Loucao, 80, 112 W. Edgewood St., Sidney, Ohio died at Sidney Care Center, 510 Buckeye Ave., Sidney, Ohio on Sunday, August 24, 2003 at 1:50 PM of pneumonia. He was born June 9, 1923 in Portugal the son of Antonio and Leonor Maria Loucao Goncalves. He was married April 7, 1957 to Maria C. Guerra and she survives along with one daughter, Ingrid Loucao of Sidney, Ohio and one son, Bryan D. Loucao and his wife Lisa of Sidney, Ohio; two grandchildren, Janine and Steven of Sidney, Ohio. He moved to Sidney in 1974 from Rochester, New York. Six brothers and one sister are deceased. He had a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Loyola College in Montreal, Canada. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney, Ohio. He worked for Bell Telephone as a telephone engineer for several years in Montreal, Canada and lived and worked in several locations in the United States in that capacity for many years. He was retired from the United Telephone Company in Sidney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2003 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Earl Fernandes. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 from 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 324 S. Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
