Jack Morgan

Jack Edward “Ed” Morgan, 80, of Sidney, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 26, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital – Dayton. Ed was born on August 18, 1944 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Jack and Gertrude (Adams) Morgan. On August 3, 1968, he married Nancy Strabel, and she survives. 

Together, Jack and Nancy raised 3 step children; Katrina Smith of Sidney, Kellen (Wendy) Smith, and Nicholas Smith both of Kendallville, Indiana. He is also survived by two grandchildren; Zachery Smith and Laura Schoupe and two great-grandchildren; Orion Smith and Malcom Smith. Jack also leaves behind his sister Barbara Kay Barnhart of Powell, Ohio, and two nieces; Kimberly Barhart, and Amber Herbster. 

Jack graduated from Mowhawk High School in 1962. He received a degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1977. He worked for General Electric, and Decatur Casting Inc. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in McCutchenville, Ohio. He also enjoyed golfing.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday - March 5, 2025, from 1-4PM, with a Funeral service starting at 4PM, with Pastor Harry Peterson, at Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at Highland Park Cemetery - on Thursday - March 6, 2025, at 11AM. Funeral services are in the care of Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home – Sidney.
