James Michael Kies

James Michael Kies, 66, 871 S. Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 5:57 AM. He was born on April 14, 1951 in Sidney, Ohio to James Leroy and Hazel Louise (Hooper) Kies and they are deceased. He married Ruth Cook on September 1, 1984 and she survives along with two daughters, Mona Arnett and husband Dave of Sidney, Ohio and Nicole Renee Bray of Sidney, Ohio; two sons, Kenneth Wayne Bray and wife Patricia of Sidney, Ohio and Lucas Michael Kies of Sidney, Ohio ; one sister, Theresa Cecil of Sidney, Ohio and one brother, Daniel Paul Kies and wife Claireann of Portland, Oregon; nine grandchildren, Megan Wolaver, Dalton Davis, Katherine Jones, Matthew Bray, Shayde Kies, Josie Broadrick, Nate Kies, Julie Kies and Grace Kies and two great grandchildren, Andrew Moores and Marshall Arnett. He graduated from Fairlawn High School in 1969 and attended Louisville Electrical College and graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in diesel mechanics. He worked at LeRoi Dresser in Sidney for 32 years. Cremation services will take place and there are no services. Memorial contribtuions may be to Tri County Hospice, Community Health Professionals.
