Jerome J. Meyer, 72, 2322 W. Russell Rd., Sidney, Ohio died on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 1:05 PM at Kettering Medical Center, Kettering, Ohio. He was born April 18, 1939 in Willowdell, Ohio the son of Frank A. and Frances (Homan) Meyer and they are deceased. On May 30, 1963 he married Connie Rethman and she survives along with six children, Steve and wife Margie of Fort Loramie, Ohio; Tom and wife Mindy of Carroll, Ohio; Sandy and husband Paul Brennan of Chicago, Illinois; Patti and husband Bob Durbin of Brookston, Indiana; Becky and husband Ron Hoffman of Westchester, Ohio and Barb and husband Joe Gillming of Cincinnati, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; three brothers, Al Meyer of Russia, Ohio; Carl Meyer and wife Linda of Versailles, Ohio; Paul and wife May Jean of Versailles, Ohio; one sister, Alfreda Guggenbiller and husband Eugene of St. Henry, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Alma Meyer of Ft. Loramie, Ohio; A sister, Irene Meyer and two brothers, Louis and Herman Meyer are deceased. Mr. Meyer was a 1957 graduate of Russia High School and graduate of Miami-Jacobs Junior College in Dayton with a business degree in accounting. He was a partner and a certified public accountant with Monnier and Company Accounting firm in Sidney for 25 years. He also owned and operated Yeasel Inc. which was a plastic injection molding company in Lewistown, Ohio and retired in 1991. He was involved in numerous business professional associations and church and community activities. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Schmitmeyer. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 3-8 PM and on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
