Jill Neargardner

Jill A Neargardner, 55, of Sidney, Ohio passed away at Piqua Manor, Piqua, Ohio on February 26, 2021, at 10:33 pm. after a long battle due to Covid-19. Jill is now at peace celebrating her new life with Jesus. She was born in Sidney, Ohio early on Christmas morning in 1965, the daughter of Lester Neargardner and Joan King.

Jill, is survived by sister, Darcy (Pete) Winchester, and brother, Robin Applegate, both of Sidney, and Aunt, Joyce Webb of Springboro, Ohio and Florence Neargardner of Indianapolis, Indiana. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Brett Applegate, Grandparents Harold and Mildred Fogt and Melvin and Emma Neargardner.

Jill graduated from Sidney High School and Upper Valley JVS in 1984. Jill had worked at K-Mart, Staples, Walmart, and Alcoa Memory Products.

Jill was a very special person who had many, many friends. She loved to laugh. She loved dogs, especially her fur baby Molli who was the sunshine of her life, and her "neph dog" Winston who she doggie sat for many times. She also loved southern gospel music and went to many concerts with her friends. She was a member of Calvary United Baptist Church.

Friends may call at Calvary United Baptist Church, 9480 County Rd 25A N, Sidney Ohio 45365, on Wednesday March 3, 2021 from 10am until the hour of the service at 12:00pm at the Church. Services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 12:00pm, with Pastor David Shepherd and Pastor Bryan Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Pearl Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio. Use of face masks and social distancing will be necessary at all funeral rites, and if you exhibit any of the symptoms of COVID-19, please pay your respects online at www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com.
