Jo Ann Wasson

Jo Ann (Anderson) Wasson, 79, Sidney, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Dayspring of Miami Valley Care Center, Fairborn, Ohio. Jo Ann was born on march 21, 1938 in Williamsburg, Kentucky, the daughter of Arthur and Maggie (Griffiths) Anderson and both parents are deceased. On June 27, 1958, she married Dale L. Wasson who also preceded her in death. She was retired from Schindler Elevator in Sidney. She was a member of the Sidney First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking and going on motorcycle trips with her husband and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Jo Ann is survived by her son, Gary (Tammy) Wasson of Indianapolis, Indiana and her daughter, Sandy Wasson of Englewood, Ohio and her grandchildren, Caitlin Meyer, Magdalen Meyer and Hannah Meyer, Evan Lieber-Wasson and Katy Lieber-Wasson and great grandchildren, Norah, Brenden, Levi and Ruby. She had a brother, Beva B. Anderson and two sisters, Bettylou Henry and Mabeth Thompson. All preceded her in death along with her sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Anderson and Bob Henry. One brother-in-law, Ray Thompson survives. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held in her honor at a later date. Her family requests that any memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Dayton, Ohio. Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney is handling the funeral arrangements.
