Judy Bunnell

Judith "Judy" Bunnell - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith “Judy” Bunnell. Judy, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at Miami Valley Hospital on Thursday February 20th, 2025 at 10:45am.

She was born in Piqua, the daughter of Betty Malone and Charles Wagner. On October 8, 1977, she married the love of her life, Brian Bunnell, who proceeded her in death in 2007. She is survived by her four children, Carol and the late Terry (2023) Edwards of Houston, Charles (Bud) Cotrell of Sidney, Jody and Mike Cotterman, Josh and Mandy Napier of Springboro; seven grandchildren, Kira and her husband Aaron Westgerdes, Jeremy and his wife Mindy Cotrell, the late Devin Wilkins (2020), Alyssa Barhorst, Chloe, Riley and Carter Napier; great grandchildren, Miah, Chase, Faith, Austin and a very special great granddaughter, Autumn. 

A devoted caregiver for many years, Judy spent her life nurturing children, offering love and guidance to generations of families. Her unwavering dedication to her community extended beyond her caregiving, as she was an active member of Sidney Baptist where she served selflessly and was a pillar of faith for all who knew her. Judy’s love, spirit and feisty attitude will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. 

Visitation will be held at Salm-McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 5PM-7PM. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 10:00AM at Salm-McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington, OH at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Judy’s name to Sidney Baptist Church, 1322 East Court St., Sidney, OH 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home. Funeral services are in the care of Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home - Sidney.
