Krista M. Hesselbein

Krista M. Hesselbein, 75, of Sidney, Ohio, was called home to heaven on January 15th, 2022, at her home in Sidney, Ohio. She was born January 31st, 1946, in Marion, Ohio the daughter of Dale and Eleanor (Flak) Porter, who are deceased. In May of 1970 Krista married Karl Hesselbein who is deceased.

Krista is survived by her three children Laura (John Thompson) Osborne of Sidney, Ohio, Emily (Dan Herbert) Hesselbein of Columbus, Ohio, and Andrew (Sherry) Hesselbein of Marion, Ohio, and two grandchildren Austin and Alec Osborne, and one brother Brian (Peggy) Porter of South Bloomfield, Ohio. Krista was preceded in death by her husband Karl and both her parents.

Krista graduated from Grove City High School in Grove City, Ohio class of 1964. Krista went on to obtain her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Miami University. Krista worked at Anna High School for a short time as the home economics teacher before becoming the librarian at Amos Press in Sidney, Ohio. Her career there lasted for 30 years before retiring. Krista enjoyed sewing, making costumes for Sock n Buskins and even making her daughters wedding dress, spending time with the church ladies, cooking, but most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Krista was a member of First Baptist Church in Sidney, Ohio.

In keeping with Kristas wishes, she will be cremated, and a prayer service will be held at Salm- McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home on Sunday February 6, 2022 from 1-3pm. Krista will be interred at a later date at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio. Online condolences may be left for the Hesselbein family at www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com.
