L. Jean Lontz

L. Jean Lontz, 85, passed away at Fair Haven Shelby County Home, Sidney, Ohio on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 6:35 AM. She was born July 22, 1928 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of Louis and Lenore (Chambers) Rees. They are deceased. She was married to Robert Lontz on April 18, 1975 and he survives in Sidney along with three daughters, Carol Renner and husband Kenneth of Delphos, Ohio; Trisha Boyd of Sidney, Ohio and Norma Murphy and husband David of Miamisburg, Ohio; two sons, Del Edington and wife Luann of Wapakoneta, Ohio and Steve Edington of Bryan, Ohio; two step-daughters, Sharon Lontz of Celina, Ohio and Bobbie McElhinney and husband Paul of Piqua, Ohio and step-son, Eric Lontz of Sidney, Ohio. Also surviving is a son-in-law, Tony Neely of Sidney. A step-daughter, Brenda Neely is deceased and also a daughter-in-law, Rita Lontz is deceased. Also surviving are several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Lontz was a 1946 graduate of Sidney High School. She sold Avon for 17 years and was a member of the Presidents Club for Avon Products. She loved to crochet and she made Care Bears. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, Sidney. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Peterson. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.
