Margaret (Peggy) Gelhaus, 83, 2115 Wapakoneta Ave., Sidney, Ohio died on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 9:00 AM at her daughter's residence in Dublin, Ohio after an extended illness. She was born June 11, 1926 in Fort Recovery, Ohio the daughter of Felix Charles and Vivian (Clinehenz) Wangler and they are deceased. She was married on February 18, 1950 to Norbert Gelhaus and he survives along with two daughters, Maria Hodge and husband Michael of Dublin, Ohio and Diana Gasaway and husband Kim of Fairborn, Ohio; also surviving is a sister, Betty Fullenkamp of Fort Recovery, Ohio and a brother, Charles Wangler of Portland, Indiana and five grandchildren, Mya Hodge, Miles Hodge, Malia Hodge, Drew Gasaway and Beth Hoos. She was a 1944 graduate of Fort Recovery High School in Fort Recovery. She had been a bookkeeper at the Barr Company in Celina, Ohio for many years and had worked for Sears in Sidney and Piqua in telephone sales for many years. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney and a member of the Altar Rosary Sodality at the church. She had been a girl scout leader for many years. She was a real good wife and mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Schmitmeyer. Burial will be at St. Henry Cemetery, St. Henry, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 8:30 AM until 10:15 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Attention: Lu Ann Presser. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
