Marilyn M. Behr

Marilyn M (Crown) Behr, 84, of Botkins, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 8th, 2021 at Elmwood Assisted Living, New Bremen, Ohio, at 8:00 AM. She was born on December 31st, 1936 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of Anthony and Frances Mary (Lehmkuhl) Crown and they are deceased. She was married to Cyril W. Behr on June 2nd, 1956 and he is deceased. Marilyn is survived by eight children, Catherine (Mark) Varno of New Knoxville, Ohio; Carol (Steve) Monnin of Botkins, Ohio; Thomas (Laura , deceased) Behr of Sidney, Ohio; Tony (Robin) Behr of Greenville, Ohio; Constance Behr of Lima, Ohio; James (Leah) Behr of Sidney, Ohio; Christina (Doug) Armstrong of Sidney, Ohio; and Carin (Ronnie) Thornhill of Anna, Ohio; twenty-seven grandchildren; and twenty-nine great-grandchildren; Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, William Behr, and three sisters Louise Wilt, Marianne Gaier, and Marcella Huecker, and three grandchildren Amy Behr, and Donald and Derek Monnin.

Marilyn graduated from Holy Angels High School, Sidney class of 1955. She was a homemaker for many years. Marilyn was a very special person who had many, many friends. She loved to go shopping, playing cards with her friends Dale, Shirley, and Arlene, and most of all she loved to play with the grandchildren and spend time with her children. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Botkins, and formally a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Fr. Jarred Kohn. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, McCartyville. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 2-5 PM, and Monday August 16, 2021 from 9-9:30 AM.
