Martin Lewis Haas, 57, 2056 Old English Ct., Sidney, Ohio passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:53 AM. He was born June 25, 1957 in Lima, Ohio, the son of Lewis and Norma Charlene (Bostater) Haas. His mother preceded Martin in death. His father survives in Sidney. On April 4, 2008 he married Kay Lesh and she survives along with five children, Elizabeth Haas of Piqua, Ohio, Kris Haas of Phoenix, Arizona, Cassandra Noe and husband Jacob of Sidney, Ohio, Joshua Sanders of Piqua, Ohio and Steve Sanders of Piqua, Ohio and two sisters, Cathy Marsh and husband John of Sidney, Ohio and Jane Hymes of Sidney, Ohio and four grandchildren, Austin Burns, Connor Smith, Natalie Noe and Austin Noe. He was a 1975 graduate of Sidney High School and attended Edison State Community College in Piqua, Ohio. He had worked at Frantz Brothers in Sidney, Johnson and Hughes in Lima, Ohio, Municipal Pipe Contractors, Eagle Bridge and most recently Demmy Construction in Springfield, Ohio as project manager. He was a member of the Sidney Moose and the Sidney Baptist Church. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Phil Chilcote. Cremation services will follow the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice, 1083 Fairington Dr., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
