Mary A. 'Peg' Wentz

Mary A. Peg Wentz, 89, 508 Karen Ave., Sidney, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at 1:45 AM. She had been in Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was born July 6, 1914 in Russia, Ohio the daughter of John and Rose (Voisard) O'Neil. She was married September 11, 1936 to William (Bill) Christian Wentz and he died on November 22, 1989. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Sandy Stallard and her husband Cliff (Carl) of Sidney; Mrs. Cheryl Wilson and her husband Ralph of Sidney; and William (Bill) Wentz Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Maryann Wilson, Jared Wilson and Michael Stallard; two brothers, Carl O'Neil of Piqua, Ohio and Jim O'Neil of Highland Heights, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews. Five brothers are deceased. She was a 1933 graduate of Holy Angels School in Sidney. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt and grandmother who also devoted a significant amount of her time to helping others through organizations such as FISH and the Sacred Heart Altar Society. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 7, 2003 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Earl Fernandes. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Thursday, November 6, 2003 from 5-8 PM.
