Mary Catherine Sherman

Mary Catherine Sherman, 88, formerly of Sidney, passed away at Campbell Place, Bellefontaine, Ohio on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 11:50 AM of an extended illness. She was born April 5, 1926 in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of Bernard and Catherine (Lehmann) Wilkins and they are deceased. She was married to Ivo Joseph Sherman Sr. on October 22, 1949 and he survives in Bellefontaine along with two daughters, Cathy Sherman of Huber Heights, Ohio and Jo Childers and husband Malcom of Bellefontaine and one granddaughter, Katie Childers. One son, Ivo Sherman Jr. is deceased. She was a 1944 graduate of Holy Angels School in Sidney and was a homemaker and worked at Monarch and Klipstines at one time. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney with Rev. Frank Amberger. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the SCARF Program, Shelby County Animal Shelter, 1100 Clem Rd., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
