Mary L. Payne

Mary L. Payne, 60, of Sidney, Ohio was called home to heaven on July 17, 2022, at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born April 13, 1962, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of John and Jane (King) Vanhorn.

Mary is survived by her step mom Lisa Vanhorn, two sons Christopher (Deanna) Payne of Sidney, Ohio and Eric (Erica) Payne of Wapakoneta, Ohio, three brothers Mike (Ann) Vanhorn, Tim (Nikki) Vanhorn, and Steve Vanhorn, two sisters Sue (Tim) Rogers and Beth (John) Dunlap, and six grandchildren Haley, Winston, Piper, Jacob, Ivy, and Rhett Payne. Mary was preceded in death by both her parents.

Mary graduated from Botkins High School, class of 1980. Mary was a homemaker and took care of her grandchildren. Mary enjoyed going to concerts, gardening and doing just about anything you could outdoors, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family. Mary will be missed by many. Mary was of the Methodist faith.

Friends may call on Saturday July 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Salm- McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio. A graveside service will be held at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco, Ohio on Saturday July 23, 2022 at 12pm with Rev. David Chivington.
