Patricia L. Libbee

Patricia L. Libbee, 83, 20340 Middle Pike, Wapakoneta, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 8:45 PM at St. Ritas Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. She was born September 9, 1931 in Sidney, Ohio the daughter of Nicholas and Helen (Sherman) Romaker and they are deceased. She was married on May 17, 1952 to Gordon S. Libbee and he survives in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Also surviving are a sister, Jane Cotrell of Piqua, Ohio and a brother James Romaker and his wife Joan of Sidney, Ohio; sister-in-laws, Pat Hoover and husband Dean (Herb) of Naples, Florida and Phyllis Jean Leininger and husband Larry of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina; brother-in-law, R. James Jones of Sidney, Aunt Pat also survived by nieces, Debbie Rhodes, Gayle Sherman, Susan Hull, Candance Bertovich and Denise McCracken and nephews, Greg Jones, Scott Jones, Phil Jones, David Romaker, Jerry Romaker, Allan Cotrell, Douglas Hoover, Michael Hoover and Gregory Leininger; special friends, Carol and Dennie Lucas and Helen and Louie Erb and family and her kitties, Hank and Charlie; eighteen great nieces and nephews and eight great great nieces and nephews. A sister, Virginia Jones, brother-in-law, Terry Cotrell, and a nephew, Tom Cotrell are deceased. Mrs. Libbee graduated from Holy Angels Catholic High School in Sidney. She never knew a stranger. She retired in 1985 from her husbands, Gordon Doc Libbees optometry business in Wapakoneta, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 101 W. Pearl St., Wapakoneta, Ohio with Rev. Pat Sloneker. Burial will be at a later date at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM.
