Phyllis J. Quinlisk died peacefully in her sleep at home on September 3, 2024 at 2:14 AM. She was born to Franklin J. and Lucinda (Schneider) Hemmert on February 24, 1938. Her husband, Jerry F. Quinlisk died on July 7, 1997.
Phyllis is survived by her four children: Bridget (Paul Jesse, deceased) Quinlisk of Plain City, Ohio, Jane (Craig) Seving of Sidney, Ohio, Ida (Scott VanDerKarr) Quinlisk of London, Ohio, and John (Laura) Quinlisk of Sidney, Ohio, sisters, Shirley Bender and Connie Courter. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Morgan (Kevin Lee) Seving, Olivia Seving, Tommy (Ashley) Froehle, Lexie, Jack and Samantha Quinlisk, and great grandchildren, Thomas and Aubrey Froehle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and grandson, Matthew Froehle.
Mrs. Quinlisk graduated from Holy Angels High School, and then worked for 20 years at Sidney City Schools, as well as Sharon’s School of Dance for 17 years.
Phyllis will be cremated, and a service will be held at the convenience of her children.
Services are in the care of Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home.
