Regina Ann (Bickel) Elson, 48, of Piqua, passed away at 8:30am at Ayden Healthcare in Piqua, on Friday – November 29th, 2024.
Regina was born on February 29, 1976, to the late John Bickel Jr., and Anna Mae Greene – Doseck, in Sidney, Ohio.
She is survived by her children – John Bickel, Allen (Elisha) Daniels, Jadelyn Lorton, Indika (Mason) Lorton, Andrew (Cherr) Elson, and Issac (Raelynne) Elson, as well as two step children – Little Ricky (Amy) Elson, and Dylon (Amber) Fair. She also leaves behind her dearly loved grandchildren – Ethan, Allison, Landon, Lyla, Theo, Coraline, Maislyn, Marcellus, Riverlyn, Raelynn, Zayda, Ziyah, Adilynn, Kristina, Karleigh, Kaylee, Sophia, Hayden, Sylas, Aubreigh, and Logan.
She will also be very missed by her two sisters, with whom she made many fun memories with – Elizabeth (John) Johnson and Misty (Todd) Konya, as well as her nieces – Marcanna, Destiny, and Lexi. She also leaves behind her ex-husband – Rick Elson.
Regina was a 1994 graduate of Sidney High School, and bowled in the Sidney High School bowling team, and also played basketball for Minster High School. Throughout her life, Regina found many things enjoyable, such as, taking care of her plants, telling people about her springer beads, and attending demolition derbys. For several years, she was a carny throughout the local county fairs, with her son Andrew. Regina loved watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Buffalo Bills, of which she was a huge supporter. During the summer, you could usually find Regina and her sister cheering on her kids and nieces on at different sporting events, battling which one could be the loudest and most excited cheerleader. Later in life, Regina grew a love for playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
Regina touched countless lives, and her legacy will live on with each and every one that knew her. The Elson family would like to extend a special thank you to Regina’s adopted daughter from Ayden Healthcare – Nicole Ratcliff.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday – December 4th, from 6-7PM, at Salm – McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home , with a funeral service beginning at 7PM. Everyone is welcome, and encouraged to wear purple or orange colors.
