Robert Louis "Bobby" Swearingen

Robert Louis 'Bobby' Swearingen, 37, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Mercy Health of Lima, Lima, Ohio. Formerly of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, he was a resident of Sidney, Ohio. Bobby was born on May 21, 1980 in London, Ohio, the son of Paul and Lorraine (Morehast) Swearingen. Lorraine survives in Urbana, Ohio. He grew up in Mechanicsburg, Ohio and enjoyed working on cars, fishing and spending time with his family. On May 19, 2001 he married Teresa Reddy who survives in Sidney. In addition to Teresa, Bobby is survived by his three children, Robert Swearingen Jr. and Jerry Davis, both of Sidney, and Marissa Swearingen of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are two brothers, Terry (Danyell) Swearingen and Kevin Johnson (Mary Jackson); sisters-in-law, Geneva McCorkel, (son, Clint McCorkle), Justine Grumbley, Tonya Reddy, and Lori Reddy and a brother-in-law, Francis (Wendy) Reddy. He has seven surviving nephews, three nieces and one great niece. Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Robert and Florence Moreheart, and his father-in-law, Patrick Reddy. He dearly loved his family and will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call for visitation from 5:00 PM until the hour of service. Because Bobby was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, the family requests that you wear Bengal attire or at least something orange if possible.
