Robert Vincent Palmisano, 84, 115 E. Water St., Sidney, Ohio died at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 4:02 PM of natural causes. He was born February 27, 1920 in Sidney, Ohio the son of James and Mary (Bova) Palmisano. He was married January 21, 1948 to Alberta Francis Behr and she survives along with four children, Robert of Sidney, Ohio; Jim and his wife Frances of Sidney, Ohio; Mrs. John (Judy) Drum of Goodyear, Arizona and Samuel and his wife Lisa of Yelm, Washington; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister are deceased. He was a 1940 graduate of Holy Angels School and served in the United States Army in World War II. He was a member of the Sidney American Legion, VFW, Elks Lodge and Holy Angels Catholic Church. He was retired from Monarch Machine in 1984 after forty four years of employment. He had worked in the family business owned by his parents, the former Quality Bakery in Sidney and also owned with his wife, King Kone, now Chilly Jillys from 1973-1976 and owned the Anna Tavern from 1973-1976. He was retired from Bank One in 1988. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. James Reutter. Burial will be at a later date at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 from 6-8 PM. An American Legion prayer service will be held at 7:45 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 324 S. Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
