Steven Francis Peltier

Steven Francis Peltier, 72, of Sidney Ohio, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Wilson Memorial Hospital emergency room. Steve was born in Sidney Ohio on April 29th, 1951 to Louis Francis Peltier and Irma Helen (Barhorst) Peltier. They are deceased. He is survived by brothers and sisters; Gary Peltier of Georgia, Linda (Brent) Kies of Findlay, Ohio, Rebecca (Jerry) Langenkamp of Sidney, Ohio, Douglas (Vickie) Peltier of Oakton Virginia, and Scott (Vicki) Peltier of Sidney. Steve was a veteran of the United States Army and served active duty in Vietnam during the conflict. He was honorably discharged and received several commendations. Steve retired from Clancy's Restaurant Systems where he held management positions at all levels. He was a lifelong member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and a 1969 graduate of Holy Angels High School. He earned a B.S. degree from Hue University. Steve was a veteran of the United States Army and served active duty in Vietnam during the conflict. He was honorably discharged and received several commendations including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Steve was also an active member in the American Legion, V.F.W., AMVETS, and the Knights of Columbus. His volunteer work focused for decades on Buckeye Boys State where he served as a past president, Holy Angels as an usher, and American Legion Honor Guard. His hobbies included bowling, wood working, and model trains. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16th from 8:30am to 10am at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home, Sidney Ohio. Memorials may be made to the Buckeye Boys State through the American Legion. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sidney Ohio with Father Andrew Reckers officiating. Burial at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney Ohio.
