Thomas Richard Wood, 64, 4995 Twin Gulch Ct., Colorado Springs, Colorado died at his residence of cancer on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 1:31 PM. He was born November 30, 1940 in Sidney, Ohio the son of T. Richard and Patricia Jane (Umstead) Wood. His father died in 1979 and he mother survives in Sidney. He married Ruth Evelyn Connelly on June 3, 1967 and she survives along with two children, Katherine Jane Nameika and husband James of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jeffrey Thomas and wife Stacey Wood of Virginia Beach, Virginia and also six grandchildren, Zachary Wood, Cameron Wood, Richard Wood, Evelyn Wood, Michael Nameika, and Genevieve Nameika and eight brothers and sisters, Nancy Flees and husband Roger of Bowling Brook, Illinois; William Wood and wife Jillian of Mansfield, Ohio; Peggy Wood of New Albany, Ohio; Daniel Wood and wife Mary Ann of Leesburg, Virginia; Deb Mentges and husband John of Sidney, Ohio; Barbara Ferree of Sidney, Ohio; David Wood and wife Sally of Sidney, Ohio and Amy Wildermuth of Sidney, Ohio. He was a 1958 graduate of Holy Angels School and was in the United States Navy from 1959-1963 and then attended Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. He was a Catholic. He had worked at L-3 Communications, Colorado Springs, Colorado as a senior system analyst. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Gerald Bensman. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Thursday, December 9, 2004 from 4-7. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
