Virginia L. Sniffen

Virginia L. (Jenny) Sniffen, 72, Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney, Ohio died at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 5:27 PM. She was born on April 6, 1939 in Sidney, Ohio the daughter of Ayers and Geraldine (Webb) Dilbone and they are deceased. She was a 1957 graduate of Sidney High School where she was active in many school activities. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Thomas L. Sniffen on September 7, 1957 and he survives at Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas A. Sniffen and wife Deb of Anna, Ohio and Timothy E. Sniffen of Lima, Ohio; one sister, Doris Wells and husband William of Anna, Ohio and a brother, Harold Dilbone and wife Carolyn of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren, Thomas M. Sniffen and fiance Laura; Cory M. Sniffen, Kyle Sniffen and Ava R. Sniffen. She worked in the insurance field for over thirty years. She had worked for Rogers and Cummings Insurance Company in Florida and also for Ratermann Insurance Agency in Fort Loramie. She loved her grandchildren and her grandchildren's activities including Anna football. She was an avid bowler and and an avid Anna football fan. She was a member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church, Anna. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Jacob Lutheran Church, Anna, Ohio with Rev. Michael Althauser. Burial will be at Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson, Ohio.
